Commissioned by Winspear and in collaboration with Justin Majetich. Working closely with Justin, I created the album art for Majetic’s album Club Dread. Our subject was a antique porcelain cherub of French origin which we sourced from eBay. We lit and photographed the object so as to further evoke the eerie, neon atmospheres of the album. As the artist’s bio states: “Dystopian tension is present throughout Club Dread, and Majetic’s vision of the club is less defined by paradise than it is by vulnerability. But even as the album combs the margins of tragedy, it feels devoted to healing.”

Additionally, I created a series of editorial and promotional photography to aid in the release and promotion of the album. The artwork and supporting photography were created in tandem and are intended to exist in the same visual world, giving meaning to one another.
“As I once transformed myself for you, so I must now transform myself for heaven.” Justin Majetich.
