Future Research (revisited)
(project, publication)
2016 - 2018

My project Future Research (revisited) utilizes the tools of photographic production to address the increasingly mediated environment. Using my personal archive as source material, the work questions the nature of image production, circulation, and distribution. Using the agency of the lens and technology the work situates itself within the saturated field of image politics while exploiting our collective understanding of images.

The work was featured in solo exhibitions at Neon Heater (2016), Hope College (2016), and The University of Toledo (2016), amongst other group exhibitions and publications.

Future Research (revisited) was self-published by myself in 2016 and is designed by Sam Stratton. Interior text by myself, Jacob Bullard, and Kara Gut. The publication has been acquired by multiple institutions including The Toledo Museum of Art Library and Cranbrook Art Museum Library. Remaining copies of the book can be purchased here.
